The FMA range of Cyclone destoner are fabricated from 304 stainless steel although if required can be fabricated in carbon steel.  

The cyclone destoner operates on the same principals as a hydro cyclonic filter; the cone is filled with water. The produce is feed into the water through the top of the cone section and is then separated as it initially sinks; the product is rotated around the cone by the action created in the water stream by the paddle. The product is then bought back up to the surface area for discharging out of the topside outlet. All material heavier than the raw material is separated down to the base of the cone, this contains a section (stone trap) with pneumatically operated valves for emptying during operation with minimal water loss.  The raw material is then discharged into the transport discharge chute using mainly recycled water with fresh water make up only; this water conveys the raw material flow directly into the rear of the wash reel typically.
