The FMA range of Hydro lift destoners are fabricated from 304 stainless steel. The Hydro lift destoner operates on the basic principals of what sinks easily in water and what does not. The produce must not totally float for this system to be effective, if so then one of our other stone trap system would be more suitable. When using this system raw materials are feed into the water catchment area at the base of the vertical auger and into the top of the adjoining hopper section, this is flooded with water and covering the pickup point of the vertical auger which is mounted off the bottom of the hopper section. The auger creates a positive flow and pumps a portion of the water vertically up the auger which draws the produce into the auger stream but leaves the sinking & heavy material at the base of the hopper; this pumped water is then screened and returned to the hopper from the auger mid section. All material heavier than the raw material is separated at the base of the hopper, this contains a section (stone trap) which is manually emptied, automated stone traps are available as an option for our range of stone traps.
