Floatation Washers

The Floatation Washer is designed to separate unwanted debris, silk from vegetables such as peas and corn. The principle is that the product, when entering a tank of reclaimed water, will sink to the bottom of the tank, whereas the unwanted material will float on the water and be screened off at the top of the tank. The product is then pumped from the bottom of the flotation tank to a reel washer, to remove any remaining debris, then on to a dewatering shaker to remove excess water. Normally product will then pass through an air cleaner to remove any stubborn debris and help dry the product. Meanwhile, the floatation tank water passes through a dewatering reel to filter the water so it can be reclaimed and pumped back into the flotation tank – waste water from the reel washer also goes through this process. All components of this system are of stainless steel construction and are designed to suit any application.
